Once my belly flab had a mind of its own, I realized that I needed to find a method of
how to get rid of belly fat. After looking in the mirror and seeing my midsection jiggling to its own rhythms, I knew I was in a lot of trouble.
Not only did this reality damage my self esteem,
it also made me a little depressed. I knew I needed to pick myself up
out of the dumps and do something about this intruding belly fat
invader.
The first thing I did was come up with a plan. I
realized that I needed to change some of my eating habits and exercise
more frequently and more intensely. At first, I tried eating less and
less often and doing some additional sit-ups. I thought the fewer
calories I ate the better off I would be.
Sadly, this didn’t work for me, and it
probably hasn’t worked for you. I think many people jump on this
incorrect bandwagon thinking that they will lose weight in their
middle. Wrong.
When you are trying to think of was how to get rid
of belly fat, you can’t just think about your waist line. You
have to look at the whole package. Those extra sit-ups you are doing
won’t make you only lose weight where you want. The result will
be a six pack under a bunch of squishy fat. That is what has happened
to me.
For you to be able to target your belly fat, you
need to think of complete body fat reduction. That is the only way that
the jiggles in the middle will ever come off.
As I have educated myself and actually tested out
my knowledge, here are some of the things that I have learned through
the process:
1. You need to think of your body as a machine
that needs the right kind of fuel. If you are eating a lean, healthy
diet with plenty of minerals and vitamins, your body will learn how to
metabolize correctly. Your diet should contain plenty of fruit,
vegetables, whole grains, and legumes.
2. If you are seriously contemplating how to get
rid of belly fat, you should also incorporate core strengthening
exercises. When I say core, I am not referring only to your abs. This
also includes your major muscle groups like your legs and back. When
you work these large muscle groups you burn even more calories.
3. The idea with any kind of weight loss is to
burn more calories than you consume. To ensure this, you need to
incorporate enough cardio or aerobic training. Try to be as active as
possible.
